THE BEGINNING

At the height of the Great Depression, Samuel A. Green founded First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Philadelphia in Point Breeze, South Philadelphia, around his grandmother's kitchen table.

Another vision became a reality with the dedication of the First Federal Savings Building at the corner of Castor and Cottman Avenues.

MOVING FORWARD AS FIRSTRUST

On February 28th, depositors overwhelmingly approve the conversion of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Philadelphia into Firstrust Savings Bank, a private, FDIC-insured Philadelphia mutual savings bank.
