For over three decades, Darren has been assisting the small business community obtain the capital needed to operate and grow their businesses. He joined Firstrust’s SBA Finance Group in 2013. The bank’s uniqueness as a third-generation family-owned commercial bank that truly values customer relationships is what drew him in.

As an expert in the U.S. Small Business Administration loan programs for the past twenty-years, Darren enjoys leveraging this partnership and its flexible underwriting criteria to help the small business community obtain financing when conventional lending is not an option. Most of the funding is centered around business acquisitions, franchise lending, start-up opportunities, leveraged real estate acquisitions and debt restructuring.

When he is not working Darren can be found golfing, playing lacrosse and volunteering for various non-profit events.
